Yuno, Mimosa, and Klaus get close to the treasure chamber in the dungeon. However, a mage from the Diamond Kingdom named Mars gets in their way.

In order to go to the treasure chamber together with his friends, Yuno confronts Mars alongside Klaus, so that the injured Mimosa can heal herself. But they have a hard time harming Mars at all.

Arc 3: Royal Capital

Asta defends Noelle from her siblings at the decoration ceremony, and the other nobles try to put him in his place. Meanwhile, Leopold and Fuegoleon seem to have taken a liking to Asta, which causes an argument between Fuegoleon and Nozel.

After hearing about the attack on the capital, Asta rushes out, with the rest of the Magic Knights quickly following. They find the corpses being controlled by Rades' wraith magic are attacking the citizens of the capital.

More enemies appear before Asta and the others. Despite being badly wounded, Asta and Leopold haven’t lost their fighting spirit, and they charge at the new enemies. The enemies realize how dangerous they are and try to kill them immediately.

Asta, Gauche, and Theresa go to find the abducted children. Gauche is able to track the faint trace of mana from the magic mirror that Marie always carries with her. On their way there, Asta spots Marco in the snow and goes to him.

Asta and the others arrive at the dungeon where the children were being held. Seeing that Marie was hurt by the enemy, Gauche loses his mind. Asta is enraged at the fact that the children had their magic stolen, and he and Gauche go after Baro and Neige.

Sally’s gel magic is extremely incompatible with Gauche’s mirror magic. She uses her dark magic item and turns Baro into a giant mud monster, which makes Gauche take Marie and flee.

After defeating Sally and Baro, Asta and Gauche suddenly end up having to face Licht, the leader of the Eye of the Midnight Sun.

Yami and Licht continue their battle and Asta faces off with Valtos. Meanwhile, Finral manages to get all of the kids and Theresa back to the town and Theresa gets treated for her injuries.

With the help of Gauche, Yami and Asta are able to defeat Licht. However, their victory is short-lived, as the three who call themselves the Third Eye appear and come to Licht’s aid.

Three of the Magic Knight captains; Jack the Ripper, Charlotte, and Nozel, appear and come to Yami and Asta's aid in fighting the Third Eye. Asta is told that his grimoire and swords belong to Licht's master, and Licht wants them back.

Arc 5: Seabed Temple

Asta and Noelle train for their upcoming mission and meet a girl named Kahono, whose dream is to become an idol who can sing, dance, and use magic.

Because of Noelle’s hard work, the Black Bulls are able to get through the harsh mana currents and safely arrive at the Underwater Temple. Everyone is nervous, since they’ve never been here before, but the underwater people welcome them with open arms.

Asta and the other Black Bulls are split up throughout the Underwater Temple due to Gifso’s magic. They are forced to go head-to-head with the temple mages in a battle royale.

One of the members of the Third Eye, Vetto, appears at the Underwater Temple along with his underlings.

Magna, Luck, and Gio, the most powerful Underwater Temple mage, risk their lives fighting Vetto. Asta and Kahono’s older brother, Kiato, also arrive at the scene.

Kahono and Noelle reach Asta and the others. Noelle is astonished at how powerful Vetto is, but Kahono remains confident. She is the granddaughter of Gifso and cherishes everyone at the Underwater Temple, which she is willing to do anything to protect.

Despite being greatly injured in the battle against Vetto, Asta stands up to face him again. Seeing this, Vanessa and Finral come to assist Asta, too.

Asta continues his attacks against Vetto with support from Vanessa and Finral. They finally manage to land a blow on Vetto, but it’s not very effective. Vanessa and Finral remember when they were younger and much weaker.

Asta’s sword finally manages to take down Vetto! But that was all a part of Vetto’s plan. He manages to steal Asta’s sword and break his arm. Vetto proudly proclaims victory, but Asta doesn’t give up hope.

The members of the Black Bulls all surpassed their limits and defeated a powerful enemy. They manage to safely get the magic stone and successfully complete their mission, and all the members other than Captain Yami go to recuperate.

Arc 6: Witches' Forest

The Golden Dawn continue fighting the Diamond forces. The Diamonds soon realize they are about to be overpowered when William uses his world tree magic, basically ending the fight.

During the attack on the Clover Kingdom by the Diamond Kingdom, Yami saves the captain of the Golden Dawn, William Vangeance, from Lotus's attack. Yami then asks William a question that's been on his mind for quite some time. Meanwhile, Asta runs into Yuno in Kiten and they are confronted by Finral's younger half-brother, Langris.

After Kiten is successfully protected, Yami introduces Asta to a recovery mage named Owen, that works directly under the Wizard King, so that Asta can get his arms healed.

In order to train with his new anti-magic sword, Asta holes up in the woods and meets Fanzell, who Asta first met shortly after receiving his grimoire.

A few months after being trained by Fanzell, Asta is able to rejoin the Black Bulls. Later, Fanzell suddenly shows up at the Black Bulls' base and recognizes Noelle's staff.

Noelle and Finral go to visit Asta's sword instructor, Fanzell, in hopes that he'd know a way to fix Asta's arms. Fanzell's fiancee, Domina, tells them that the Queen of Witches in the Witches' Forest should be able to dispel ancient curses.

Asta and the others meet with the Queen of Witches to cure Asta's arms. The Queen of Witches takes interest in Asta's anti-magic sword and cures Asta's arms. The party splits up into two different teams to go face off with both of the incoming forces of the Diamond Kingdom and the Eye of the Midnight Sun.

Noelle uses her water magic to try to put out the fires that have sprouted up around the forest while Asta, Finral, and Vanessa confront another member of the Third Eye, Fana. Asta tries to reason with Fana by talking to her, but that quickly gets shut down when Fana attacks with her fire spirit, salamander.

While Asta and the other Black Bulls fight Fana, Fanzell faces off against the forces of the Diamond Kingdom, led by two of Fanzell's former students, Ladros and Mars.

Fanzell leads Mars and Ladros to where Asta is fighting. In order to defeat Ladros who absorbs the magic of his enemies, Fanzell devises a plan to have Asta's anti-magic counter that.

Asta and Mars are able to stop Fana from self-destructing. Fana regains her senses but doesn't remember the events that transpired after she lost consciousness. The only things she remembers are the strong need to take back the magic stones and the feeling of being controlled by someone's extreme hatred.

Asta loses consciousness after Ladros's attack and the Queen of Witches tries to use this opportunity to awaken Asta's true powers. Meanwhile, Asta awakens in a strange space, standing before a giant being that offers him strength in exchange for Asta's body.

As promised, Asta and the others repel the invading forces that attacked the Witches' Forest. However, the Queen of Witches was after Asta and his swords to begin with. She uses a spell to make Asta her puppet and tries to get him to kill his own friends.

The Queen of Witches had been waiting patiently for Vanessa to awaken to her true powers, but ironically, it was those powers that helped them defeat the queen. The Queen of Witches realizes that she was wrong and heals Asta and the rest of the party, and tells Vanessa that she may do as she pleases now.

Arc 7: Hot Springs Training Camp

Asta and the others safely return to the Black Bulls' base after defeating the Eye of the Midnight Sun and the Diamond Kingdom in the Witches' Forest. Now that Asta's arms have healed, the Black Bulls as well as Yuno, Klaus, and Mimosa are relieved. However, there's no telling when the Eye of the Midnight Sun or the Diamond Kingdom will try to attack the Clover Kingdom again. Klaus then brings up a proposal to Yuno and Mimosa.
67	02	"A Fun Festival Double Date"	January 22, 2019	April 27, 2019
The Star Festival, the biggest festival of the year in the Clover Kingdom is about to take place. Every year at the festival, the number of stars each Magic Knight squad had acquired is announced. Captain Yami and the other Black Bulls prepare to go all out for this festival. Meanwhile, Noelle tries to use this chance to enjoy the festival with Asta, but Asta ends up inviting some guests to accompany them.
68	03	"Battle to the Death?! Yami VS Jack"	January 29, 2019	May 4, 2019
Noelle finds Asta working at a grilled squid stall with Yami who is competing against Jack the Ripper and Sekke who are working at a grilled meat stall. Yami and Jack resort to increasingly childish games before deciding to duel instead.
69	04	"The Briar Maiden's Melancholy"	February 5, 2019	May 11, 2019
Asta ends up passing a group of guys at the Star Festival who all seem to be looking in the direction of a beautiful woman. This beautiful woman happened to be the captain of the Blue Rose Knights, Charlotte, who was forced to wear a dress by one of her squad members, Sol Marron. Charlotte isn't very fond of men, so she was getting frustrated by all the staring, but then she happens to see Yami.
70	05	"Two New Stars"	February 12, 2019	May 18, 2019
The Star Festival finally reaches its climax and the rankings are about to be announced. As the crowd watches in anticipation, the Golden Dawn take first place, and in a twist the Black Bulls take second place?! On top of that, Asta and Yuno both get called up to the stage for the excellent work they've done.
71	06	"The Uncrowned, Undefeated Lioness"	February 19, 2019	May 25, 2019
Asta and Yuno end up seeing Mereoleona scolding the members of the Crimson Lion Kings after the Star Festival. Mereoleona is the older sister of their former captain, Fuegoleon, and was unhappy with their performance at the Star Festival. She calls her brother a fool and Leopold and the other squad members defend him. She then says they're going to a volcano for a training camp and also ends up taking Asta, Yuno, Yami, Charlotte and Noelle with them as well.
72	07	"Saint Elmo's Fire"	February 26, 2019	June 1, 2019
The hot spring turns out to be on top of the constantly erupting Yultim Volcano, set above a well of powerful mana. Despite the dangerous levels of heat everyone races to the top using their own magic to protect themselves from it. Asta finds that as the heat is natural, not magical, his swords are useless, and he nearly passes out. Mereoleona warns him that ascending the volcano without magic is impossible and advises him to quit, but Asta is determined to get to the top with his strength alone.

Arc 8: Royal Knights

Asta's team is first up to fight in the first round of the Royal Knights Selection Exam. Asta ends up on a team with Mimosa and a mage named Xerx Lügner. The way to win the battle is to destroy the other team's crystal. However, before the match even starts, Xerx upsets the enemy team by being rude to the Wizard King
75	03	"Fierce Battle"	March 19, 2019	June 22, 2019
Asta and the other Black Bulls continue to fight through stage one of the exam, trying to get to stage two. Magna ends up on a team with the vice-captain of the Coral Peacocks, Kirsch, and Sol from the Blue Rose Knights. Kirsch seems to just go on about how beautiful he is and Magna and Sol don't know how to deal with the biggest narcissist they've ever met. Meanwhile, Finral ends up on a team with Leopold and Hamon.
76	04	"Mage X"	March 26, 2019	June 29, 2019
The members of the Black Bulls have shown strength that far surpasses their ranks of Junior Magic Knights. Round 5 of stage 1 of the Royal Knights Selection Exam is about to begin. However, they can't seem to find the person called "X" on the I team, which is one of the teams that's about to fight.
77	05	"Bad Blood"	April 2, 2019	July 6, 2019
The team of Klaus, Puli, and Luck is next up in the first round of the selection exam. Despite Klaus’s cautious nature, Luck’s tendency to go beserk, and Puli’s hyperactive personality, they’re able to pull out a win. Then Yuno, Noelle, and En end up battling against Alecdora Sandler and Solid Silva in the last battle of the first stage.

The first stage of the Royal Knights Selection Exam comes to a close and the second stage begins. The first match is between Asta, Mimosa, Xerx and Magna, Kirsch, and Sol.
79	07	"Mister Delinquent vs. Muscle Brains"	April 16, 2019	July 20, 2019
The battle between Asta and Magna's teams continues. Magna has always been an expert at controlling his powers and he now has a new spell, which he uses to gradually damage Asta’s team’s crystal. Meanwhile, Mimosa realizes that the enemy team’s crystal is inside Sol’s golem and she comes up with a plan.

The Wizard King ends up changing the order of the matches. Now, Asta’s team and Langris’s team begin their match. Meanwhile, something is bothering Julius, as he quietly watches the match.

Langris is as powerful as ever and continues to show his deep hatred, meanwhile, Asta faces off with him passionately, angered by the fact that he mocked and injured Finral. Meanwhile, seeing Asta fight, Xerx remembers a certain someone.

The Black Bulls are doing much better than anyone expected during the Royal Knights Selection Exam. Meanwhile, Charmy decides that she wants to make something yummy for her Meal-saving Prince and goes to gather some ingredients. However, she ends up eating some poisonous mushrooms and starts to see strange dreams.

Xerx’s magic seems to have little effect against Langris, as well, so Asta decides to use his Black Asta powers. Will he be able to defeat Langris, despite Langris’s tremendous magical powers? Luck’s team then faces off with Rill’s team and then finally, Rill’s team goes up against Yuno’s team.

The final match of the Royal Knights Selection Exam has finally come down to Yuno, Noelle, and En’s team versus Rill’s team. Yuno takes on the captain of the Aqua Deer as Noelle and En guard their crystal. Both Yuno and Rill have extreme amounts of magic and natural skill, and Asta watches their battle, trying to hold back his own disappointment.

After not being able to fight with Yuno in the Royal Knights Selection Exam finals, Asta had been acting like his soul was gone. Her older brother also had a four-leaf grimoire just like Licht and hoped to bring humans and elves together. The siblings and Licht shared similar ideals, so they became rather close, and eventually, Tetia became pregnant with Licht’s child. But then, a great tragedy fell upon the elves.

The Black Bulls were ordered by the Wizard King to investigate the devils. But when they get there, Charlotte suddenly runs off somewhere and they’re all in shock.

In order to find out more about the forbidden curse, Asta, Gordon, Grey, and Gauche head to Gordon's house, since he comes from a family of famous curse mages. Meanwhile, Gordon is also unhappy with his inability to help his friends, so he decides to go off to train on his own.

Zora wanders off from the rest of the Black Bulls and heads back home to visit his father’s grave. He then meets a boy from his village named Ina. But then, Ina is confronted by a noble boy named Kaito and is told that his dreams are futile.

Vanessa returns home to the Witches’ Forest and goes to visit the Queen of Witches. After witnessing the mage from the Spade Kingdom that was possessed by a devil, Vanessa wanted to see if the Queen of Witches could teach her a new spell to help out her teammates. The Queen of Witches tells her she may consider helping her if Vanessa would take two witches under her wing.

Julius asks Marx to help him in creating new magic items and taking care of some bandits. While, Gauche investigates whether the head of the Magic Parliament, Damnatio, may have taken his sister, Asta is taken to Owen’s clinic and it becomes apparent that the tracking device he had on his arm has disappeared.

However, the townspeople are unwilling to cooperate because they hold a grudge against the Magic Knights.

The Devil Banishers announce that they will judge Nero and Marie in public. Julius then orders the Black Bulls and other Magic Knights to go rescue them. The Magic Knights place themselves among a crowd that clearly hates the devil, and then the Devil Banishers appear. They then demand that the devil-possessed Asta show himself.

Though the Magic Knights were able to save Marie from the Devil Banishers, Nero is taken once again and Asta’s 5-leaf clover grimoire is also stolen. Suddenly, they receive a message from one of Damnatio’s subordinates and learn the true identities of the Devil Banishers and Julius orders the Black Bulls yet again to save Nero. The Black Bulls begin their investigation in the town where they think the Devil Banishers were gathering. Will they be able to find out what the enemy’s true motive?

Asta, Noelle, and Magna manage to catch up to the Devil Believers who had taken Nero. But they find that the Devil Believers have now grown in numbers. Magna goes back to tell Yami of the situation while Asta and Noelle are left behind to try to do what they can to save Nero. But it appears that the Devil Believers have made up their minds on achieving their goal, even if it costs them their lives.

Asta and Noelle are captured along with Nero and they head toward the strong magic region near the border when Captain Yami and Magna arrive. The Devil Believers try to bring their powers together in order to face the Magic Knight captains.

The incident with the Devil Believers has come to a close. She then gets summoned by Julius. Meanwhile, Asta and the others receive a message saying that the Heart Kingdom and the Spirit Guardians were ready to train them for their fight against the devil.

At the award ceremony, Yuno advances very quickly in rank.

Asta and the other Magic Knights chosen to train in the Heart Kingdom finally start their training under Loropechika and the Spirit Guardians of Lightning, Earth, Plants, Fire, Wind and Undine. Since Asta has no magic to begin with, he ends up sparring with Gaja, the Spirit Guardian of Lighting.

For some reason, Charmy, who had tagged along with Asta and the others to train in the Heart Kingdom, keeps trying to eat all of the food in the Heart Kingdom. Asta tries to take her back and goes to the forest Charmy was last seen in. However, Charmy has also trained with the Spirit Guardians and has become even more powerful. Meanwhile, Yuno is contacted by Sister Lily and heads back to his home village of Hage.

Years ago Asta and Yuno were abandoned in front of the church in Hage Village, a village in the outskirts of the Clover Kingdom. Upon returning to the church in Hage Village, Yuno learns the truth of his birth. Meanwhile, while Vice Captain Yuno was away, the Golden Dawn's headquarters was attacked by the Spade Kingdom. Despite being the most powerful squad out of the Magic Knights, they might have finally met their match.

After hearing about the Golden Dawn members being in trouble, Yuno hurries back. When he returns, their headquarters has been destroyed and many of the squad members are near death. After spending time in the Heart Kingdom, Asta finally goes back to the Black Bulls' hideout. However, they are currently under attack by one of the Dark Triad, Dante. Meanwhile, the Heart Kingdom is under attack by Vanica and her subordinates.

Yami continues to fight Dante from the Dark Triad and finally deals a fatal blow! However, Dante has horrifying regenerative powers and manages to heal immediately. Meanwhile, in the Heart Kingdom, Leopold, Charmy, and Luck go to help the Spirit Guardians, but are also having a hard time.

Vanica and Loropechika face off while Noelle and Mimosa, who have grown far more powerful due to their training, aid Loropechika in battle. However, one of the most powerful devils, Megicula, inhabits Vanica, so fighting against her with normal magic powers proves to be difficult.

Vanica and her subordinates continue their attack on the Heart Kingdom. Meanwhile, back at the Black Bulls' hideout, Captain Yami's fight against Dante continues. Despite how overwhelmingly powerful Dante is, Yami continues to fight back, landing another powerful blow on Dante. However, despite the damage done to Dante, he continues to regenerate.

Asta and Yami surpass their limits and begin their counterattack! Despite being covered in injuries, Asta and Yami give Dante a run for his money. Yami and Vangeance are taken to the Spade Kingdom so that the ritual to open the gate to the underworld can begin. Despite his injuries, Asta tries to escape the infirmary to go and save Yami, however he is stopped by a mage named Nacht Faust, who also happens to be a devil-possessed. He offers to train Asta in the use of his devil powers. Meanwhile, the Magic Knight Squad Captains hold an emergency meeting.

Noelle and the others recover consciousness after the explosions in the Heart Kingdom and find themselves in the new home of the elves that was located in a strong magic region just beyond the Heart Kingdom. There, Noelle has an unexpected reunion. Meanwhile, Asta is learning from Nacht to control his devil powers.

Nacht summons the devil who had been giving Asta his powers all this time. In order to use his devil powers to their fullest extent, Asta must defeat his devil and bind him, but he also offers an alternative solution that is a bit surprising. Yuno, Noelle, and the others also swear they will take revenge on the Dark Triad and get back Captain Yami and Captain Vangeance.
