| The year is Universal Century 0068. Zeon Zum Deikun, newly appointed leader of space colony Side 3, has declared independence from the Earth Federation and renamed the colony, the Republic of Zeon. Soon after, Zeon abruptly dies, leaving his friend and closest advisor, Degwin Sodo Zabi, to claim the throne for himself as ruler of the "Principality" of Zeon. With Zeon Zum Deikun now dead, his two children: a son, Casval Rem Deikun, and daughter, Artesia Som Deikun, are targeted by Degwin's purge and held captive.
