Rick and Morty: The Anime is a Japanese/American anime series directed by Takashi Sano and produced by Studio Deen, Sola Entertainment, and Telecom Animation Film for Adult Swim, based on the animated series of the same name by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon
Plot[]
The show revolves around the adventures of the members of the Smith household, in particular mad scientist and samurai Rick Sanchez, and his grandchildren, the 14-year-old Morty Smith, and the 17-year-old Summer Smith, whose parents, Jerry and Beth Smith (Rick's daughter), disapprove of their adventures.
Different versions of the characters (including the bespectacled genocider, President Morty Smith) inhabit other dimensions throughout the show's multiverse, with their personal characteristics varying from one reality to another.

Rick and Morty: The Anime premiered on Toonami on August 17, 2024 at 12:00 AM. During its initial run on Toonami, the show aired in Japanese with English subtitles. The season finale aired on October 19, 2024. The show was pre-empted on October 26, 2024 for an Uzumaki marathon, then Rick and Morty: The Anime moved to the 3:00 AM slot on November 2, 2024, this time airing the English dub, to make room for Invincible Fight Girl. During this run, the first seven episodes of the English dub made their Toonami premieres, up to episode 7, "When We Meet In Our Dreams" on December 14, 2024. On December 21, 2024, the show was pre-empted for a marathon of Mashle: Magic and Muscles, then the next week the block was extended from 12:00 AM to 5:00 AM for a marathon of the English dub of Rick and Morty: The Anime, including the Toonami premieres of the English dub of episodes 8-10. The show returned to its 3:00 AM slot on January 4, 2025, and the remaning three episodes of the English dub aired in that slot, until its last Toonami airing on January 18, 2025 when it was subsequently replaced by reruns of Sailor Moon.
