Toonami: Super Saturday was a Toonami programming block that premiered on Saturday, October 20, 2001. The block initially aired on Saturdays for two hours from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and only featured reruns of the new Dragon Ball Z episodes from the week (Monday-Friday). The block remained unchanged for 7 months until June 8, 2002, when with the addition of two episodes of Dragon Ball, the block expanded to three hours and was given a new time slot, airing on Saturdays from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. However, this new time slot was short lived as two weeks later (June 22nd) it began airing from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, where it stayed until its cancellation.

Super Saturday aired for the final time on February 22, 2003. The programming block was cancelled to make room for a new non-Toonami action animation block, Saturday Video Entertainment System (SVES), which premiered the following week on Saturday, March 1, 2003.
