The series aired on Adult Swim's Toonami programming block from May 6, 2023 to July 1, 2023.[1]

Plot[]

An evil force looms across the dark, thick-aired streets of industrial revolution London when a group of ancient heroes, dubbed Unicorn - Melinda, a powerful sorceress, Seng, a cosmic monk, and Edred, a warrior elf - awaken in the bodies of teenagers instead of the adult hosts they’ve embodied in the past. With distorted memories and their magical abilities weakened and fragmented, the trio must work together with help from their steam-powered robot, Copernicus, to unravel the mysteries of their pasts and present that will reveal their path to defeating a timeless threat. Not only do they have to protect the world against the prevailing darkness, but they also have to do it while navigating the unexpected laughs and humor that come with teen angst and emotions.

Characters[]

Melinda — a powerful sorceress and part of a magical order fighting under the banner of the unicorn, sworn to protect the world of all evil throughout eternity. Her current host body is that of a teenage girl name Emma who was to be married on the day Copernicus resurrected Melinda's soul. She is the first Unicorn resurrected and remembers the least about her past. Due to this she struggles to control her power and to determine which of the two souls now inhabiting her body is truly her.

Seng — a cosmic/celestial monk that can traverse the cosmic realm between space and time. He is part of a magical order fighting under the banner of the unicorn, sworn to protect the world of all evil throughout eternity. His current host body is that of a young boy named Alfie who was an orphan. When Copernicus and Melinda find Alfie he is living with his fellow orphans in a shutdown orphanage. Unlike Melinda, Seng remembers some of his past after Copernicus resurrects his soul. However, due to his age, he struggles to comprehend the cosmic realm.

Edred — a warrior elf and part of a magical order fighting under the banner of the unicorn, sworn to protect the world of all evil throughout eternity. His current host body is that of a teenage boy named Dimitri who was a street magician. Unlike the others, Dimitri managed to retain most of Edred's memories and power after his soul was resurrected.

Copernicus — a steam-powered robot brought from the future by Merlin. His duty is to awaken the souls of the three warriors in new host bodies whenever they are needed to battle the ultimate evil. This has been repeated numerous times throughout history. At the beginning of the series, he is awoken after being exhumed from a grave in a graveyard by three other robots. After defeating them, he then begins his search for the three warriors to resurrect their souls.

Merlin — The wizard who created the magical order fighting under the banner of the unicorn. He brought Copernicus from the future so the souls of the three warriors could be resurrected in new bodies whenever the ultimate evil returned to threaten the world.
