With the imperial army advancing, Van is shaken by his loss at the hands of Raven. In an attempt to avenge his loss, Van and Irvine devise a new plan of attack for Van's Shield Liger, but will it prove useful in the rematch?

With Zeke badly damaged, Van seeks help in the deserted village. Discovering Dr. D, he tells Van that to heal Zeke, Van will need to retrieve Zoid Magnite from Mt. Osa. Meanwhile, Irvine takes on Raven and his Saber Fang with multiple missile diffusion systems.
15 "Deploy the ZG!" December 11, 1999 March 8, 2002 August 20, 2002[4]
As the imperial army approaches, Colonel Krueger gives command of Mt. Osa base to Major Ford while he pilots the ZG onto the front lines to defend the base. Meanwhile, with Zeke recovering from his wounds, Van goes alone to rescue Irvine from Mt. Osa base. Will he be able to save Irvine without the help of Zeke?

Van helps a young Imperial soldier escape from Republican soldiers who are harassing him. Later, as Van and Co. set out for the institute that specializes in ancient ruins, Republican guards show up and accuse Van of being an Imperial spy. Can the group evade the Republic forces while searching for clues about Zoid Eve?

With an attack from the Imperial Army coming closer, Captain Herman races to warn the Republic about the attack. Meanwhile Van, Moonbay and Irvine are planning their next move to the Guerrial Plateau.

On the New Helic Shore, the Republican Army stands and waits for the Imperial Army's impending attack. Meanwhile, Colonel Krueger enlists Van, Fiona and Moonbay in his plans to destroy the Mount Osa Base so that the Empire can not get its hands on it.
19 "Prozen's Conspiracy" January 15, 2000 March 14, 2002 August 27, 2002[5]
With peace restored to the Republic, Van and his friends are off to the Guerrial Plateau to restore Fiona's memory. Elsewhere, the bandit Rosso, of the Desert Alcavaleno Gang, is freed by his comrades. Will the Desert Alcavaleno Gang be successful in their plans to kidnap the Crown Prince Rudolph and frame the rebels?
20 "The Resurrection Monster" January 22, 2000 March 15, 2002 August 28, 2002[5]
Van and Co. continue towards the Guerrial Ruins while, Rosso and Viola hideout with the captured prince Rudolph. Will Van and Co. be able to reach the ruins safely or will the defenses prove too formidable?

Raven pursues Rosso and Viola who have lost Prince Rudolph. Meanwhile, Van and Co. come across the prince. At the Imperial Palace, Prozen declares that if Prince Rudolph does not return before the funeral of the late emperor Zepplin, he will take office.

After barely escaping from Raven, Van and the gang find shelter and Van teaches Prince Rudolph how to pilot a zoid properly. Later the group is attacked by a group of Rev Raptors as Shadow kidnaps the Prince. Van follows Shadow and faces off once again against Raven in his Death Saurer.

The Shield Liger has been destroyed and Van is unconscious. Meanwhile, Raven delivers Rudolph to Metelinick and his thugs. Later, Van and Irvine devise a plan to save the prince.

With Rudolph away from danger back at the camp, he finds out that Fiona and Zeke are inside the Shield Liger. Meanwhile, Stinger makes a deal with Metelinick in which he'll help with the destruction of the group.

Van is attacked by Denis in the Red Guysack, but Van manages to steal the Guysack. Meanwhile, Stinger has Irvine, Moonbay, and Rudolph captured and reveals that he is after Zeke. Will Van be able to save his friends?
26 "Memories of Zi" March 4, 2000 March 25, 2002 September 9, 2002[8]
After defeating Stinger, and his Saber Fang Stinger Special, Van and Co. continue their journey to return Rudolph to Guygalos. Meanwhile, Raven is heading off to destroy another fortress of the Republican Army, while Minister Prozen announces that Rudolph has been assassinated by an elite squadron of Republican forces, seizing the throne for himself.
27 "The Saviour" March 11, 2000 March 26, 2002 September 10, 2002[8]
Continuing their journey to return Rudolph to Guygalos, Van and Co. make their way to a village called Light Town, where they learn Prozen has announced Rudolph is dead. Will the group be able to smuggle Rudolph into the heart of Imperial territory without being caught?

With Rudolph disguised as a girl named Ramona to hide his true identity, the company comes across a group of bandits, posing as Imperial soldiers, robbing the village. With Gafki-Carl Fever plaguing the village, it’s up to Irvine to retrieve the vaccine from the bandits.
29 "Heroes of the Sky" March 25, 2000 March 28, 2002 September 12, 2002[8]
Van and Co. continue towards Guygalos City. After reaching a fork in the road the group decides to split up, with Irvine, Moonbay, and Rudolph taking the long but safe route, and Van, Fiona, and Zeke taking the shorter route that has one Imperial base along the way.

With Captain Sephers' unit in hot pursuit of Van and Co., a man named McMahon rescues them and hides them in his mansion. Who is this mysterious man from Moonbay’s past?

On their way towards the Imperial Capital, Van and Co. make their way through the Valley of Heroes towards the Wind City, where three guards, piloting three old model Saber Fangs lay in wait.

Van and the rest of the gang make it to the palace, where Prime Minister Homalef meets them. Homalef tells Van that Prozen is also researching ruins. Later that night, Van, Fiona, and Zeke sneak off in the Blade Liger to investigate these ancient ruins.

On his way back to the palace, Van is confronted by Raven and his Genosaur. Meanwhile, Irvine, Rudolph, Moonbay and Prime Minister Homalef flee from the palace.

Prozen causes havoc amongst the people of the Empire when he wipes out a group of Shield Ligers while showing off the Death Saurer. Will Van be able to defeat the Death Saurer or will his Liger be destroyed like the others.

Years after defeating the Death Saurer, Van has been working with the military for the past year. Under the guidance of Colonel Krueger, Van undergoes a simulation test without the use of his organoid. Later, Van returns to the Wind Colony and awaits the return of Fiona and Dr. D.

Republic soldiers are after the Republican gold supply and Van is enlisted by Commander Cunningham to investigate the situation.
37 03 "The Blue Devil" May 20, 2000 April 9, 2002 September 26, 2002[10]
Van and Fiona go to a nearby village, where Captain O'Connell and his men have found a whole truck load of stone tablets which may lead to Zoid Eve. While searching for the tablets, Van, Fiona and Zeke investigate why the Village has been deserted.

Van is sent by Captain O’Connell to go to Imperial Territory and meet up with an Imperial guardian named Schubaltz, because a group of thugs posing as Republican forces are terrorizing nearby villages.

On their next mission, Van and Fiona run into another guardian named Thomas. Van and Thomas are sent to investigate a group of outlaws in the mountains that are preventing trade in the area. Meanwhile, Hiltz has plans of his own.

After Van, Fiona and Thomas fight off the Helcats in the mountains across the border, Van gets word from his superiors that there are zoid hunters stealing sleeper zoids in the area. Unbeknownst to Van, a very familiar Command Wolf is amongst the zoid hunters.
41 07 "The Devil's Maze" June 17, 2000 April 15, 2002 October 2, 2002[11]
Colonel Karl Schubaltz and the first division Panzer unit of the Imperial army get trapped in the supply base with 250 megatons of explosives set to explode. Van, Fiona and Thomas infiltrate the base to save the troops and confront Reice, who is behind the situation.

After a Godos is stolen and used to destroy a Republic base, Van goes to check it out. While investigating the base, a survivor tells Van that this was done by a pilot with a black organoid.

After the fierce battle with Raven, Van, Fiona and Thomas decide to take a vacation with Emperor Rudolph and Lady Marian, the girl that is supposed to wed Rudolph. Meanwhile, Stinger is close by watching and waiting for the perfect time to strike.

While preparing for the upcoming battle against Raven, through simulation training, Irvine shows up in his Red Command Wolf and challenges Van to a duel.

At Dragon Head Base near the Red River, two Stealth Storm Sworders are stolen by Major Ralph and Mueller with the help of Ambient, the red organoid that belongs to Hiltz. When Van and Co. arrive at the base they devise a plan to recapture the stolen Storm Sworders.
46 12 "Devil of the Sea" July 22, 2000 April 22, 2002 October 9, 2002[12]
Van and Fiona are called to Lumiere Island by Dr. D to search for the Lost City. However, Reice is also on the island and has his sights set on Fiona and Van.
47 13 "A Monster Awakens" July 29, 2000 April 23, 2002 October 10, 2002[12]
While looking at the Geno Saurer’s cocoon, Raven is arrested and interrogated by Major Schubaltz of the Imperial army. Fearing what may hatch from the cocoon, the Republican and Imperial forces join together in order to destroy it.
48 14 "The Black Lightning" August 5, 2000 April 24, 2002 October 11, 2002[12]
After suffering major losses at the hands of Raven, the Command Wolf and Irvine are both badly damaged, with former unable to be repaired. Meanwhile, Dr. D reveals the Lightning Saix, a new ultra-fast zoid that he was developing for the Empire which no one can pilot without losing consciousness. Can Irvine conquer this new Zoid?
49 15 "The Distant Stars" August 12, 2000 April 25, 2002 October 14, 2002[13]
After the last battle against the Geno Breaker ended in defeat, Colonel Halford is brought in to lead the next attack. The Colonel has developed a strategy that will utilize the Geno Breakers weaknesses. Will this strategy prove successful or will it only lead to another defeat?
50 16 "Attack of the Geno Breaker" August 19, 2000 April 26, 2002 October 15, 2002[13]
After preparing for the arrival of the Geno Breaker, Van has upgraded the booster on his Blade Liger to increase its speed. With the base as his next target, Raven prepares for battle once again.

After fighting the Geno-Breaker and falling over a cliff into a river, Van washes up on a shore. With his friends searching for him, Zeke and the Blade Liger, Van wakes up and finds a boy named Nichalo who rescued him. Meanwhile, the Imperial Army Division closes in on the Village of Nordinance.
52 18 "Van's New Power" September 2, 2000 April 30, 2002 October 17, 2002[13]
With the Blade Liger repaired, Van tests it out and Dr. D notices that all the motion systems were worn out due to Van running it beyond its capabilities. Meanwhile, Fiona notices something very strange happening to Zeke.

Van is able to reach his full potential with Zeke and the Blade Liger. Meanwhile an assassin has been hired to kill Emperor Rudolph and, Phantom, the assassin notoriously never misses his intended target. When he receives an assignment he carries it out to the very end. Van and Thomas find out that the hit will be carried out at the Guylos Grand Prix.

After taking down Phantom, a briefing commences, in which Dr. D goes over the biographies of the enemies the Guardian Force has faced and the best tactics the Guardian Force can use against the Geno-Breaker.
55 21 "Supersonic Battle" September 23, 2000 May 3, 2002 Unaired
Van and Co. find themselves in a mystery when a group steals zoid parts that are being developed. After running into the thieves and being knocked unconscious, Irvine awakens to find that he is being accused of stealing the zoid parts and also that his Lightning Saix has been stolen.

Thomas briefs Van and Fiona about the Trinity Ghost, a group responsible for recent attacks on zoid pilots. Unbeknown to the group, they are being watched by the Trinity Ghost, and they declare Thomas guilty and challenge him to a duel.
57 23 "The Nightmare" October 14, 2000 May 7, 2002 Unaired
Van, Irvine and Thomas are making some adjustments to the Attack Booster in hopes of defeating Raven and the Geno-Breaker. Meanwhile, Hiltz and Ambient are about to release a fearsome ancient zoid.
58 24 "Attack of the Winged Dragons" October 21, 2000 May 8, 2002 Unaired
After being unsuccessful in stopping Hiltz, he takes to orbit in the Hammer Kaizer with the Death Stinger onboard. In response to an attack from the Death Stinger, Major Herman goes to the Capital and asks the President, about taking two Storm Sworders into space, piloted by Van and Thomas.
59 25 "The Capital Collapses" October 28, 2000 May 9, 2002 Unaired
After making a direct hit with the surface and surviving the Hammer Kaizer destruction, the Death Stinger makes its way to New Helic City. Colonel Schubaltz's Armored Panzer Division. Colonel devizes a plan to send the Death Stinger into molten magma, with some strategic bombing. Meanwhile, Van battles Reice in a Blue Geno Saurer, while, Raven continues to mourn the loss of his organoid, Shadow.
60 26 "The Giant Fortress" November 4, 2000 May 13, 2002 Unaired
Retreating from the doomed Capital, the Republic and Imperial Forces head to Wendeen Lake, where the Republic's secret weapon, the Ultrasaurus lies.
61 27 "The Great Sea Battle" November 11, 2000 May 14, 2002 Unaired
The Ultrasaurus has awoken and is making its way to the Empire, Van and Irvine engage the Death Stinger to buy it some time to escape. Later, Colonel Herman reveals that in its current state the Ultrasaurus is completely vulnerable, so the plan is to arm it with the Gravity Cannon, a devastatingly powerful weapon.
62 28 "The Gravity Cannon" November 18, 2000 May 15, 2002 Unaired
The Ultrasaurus has the gravity cannon installed and is ready for the upcoming battle. Meanwhile, Hiltz has discovered the location of the Ultrasaurus and commences his attack.

The battle with the Death Stinger continues and Van and Co. come to the conclusion that the only strategy that will possibly defeat the Death Stinger is the delta formation. But will the formation really be able to put an end to the Death Stinger?
64 30 "The Ancient Memory" December 2, 2000 January 4, 2003[14]
With the Death Stinger seemingly defeated, Ambient appears and fuses with the Death Stinger, reviving it. Meanwhile, The Dark Kaiser reveals himself to Raven and tells him that Shadow is now under his control.

The true identity of the Dark Kaiser is revealed as Van and Co. prepare for their final battle.

The final battle between Van and Hiltz has arrived, while Reice and Raven confront Prozen.

Van and Raven fight with everything they have to defeat Hiltz and the resurrected Death Saurer. With Fiona and Zeke prepared to make the ultimate sacrifice, does Van have a strategy that can save everyone?

  1. The episode "Farewell to a Friend" was scheduled to air on Monday, September 2, 2002; however, due to a scheduling error, a rerun of the episode "The Mountain of Dreams" was aired instead. Despite the mistake, the episode was not aired the following day (September 3rd). "Farewell to a Friend" did not air on Toonami until Friday, January 28, 2003, during the series' second run on Toonami.
